Mrs.Cindy Franklin has been directing school and church choirs for over 25 years and is excited to be beginning her 5th year as a part of the Frisco ISD Fine Arts team.

 

Choirs under Mrs. Franklin's direction have won several sweepstakes awards at UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest, and individual singers under her tutelage are regularly chosen for Region, Area, and All State Choirs. Many of her former students have gone on to earn college scholarships .

Mrs. Franklin earned a Bachelors of Music Education from Texas  Christian University, where she studied with Ron Shirey, and Dr. Ruth Whitlock. She also earned Master's Degree in Education Administration from University of Houston-Victoria.

When not directing, Mrs. Franklin's musical career has also included teaching private voice and piano, as well as accompanying several choirs, instrumentalists and vocal soloists at the piano.
